Made to celebrate the bond between a daughter and her first hero, her father. This sculpture rides across memory and meaning. Crafted from stainless steel, the bike chassis is built from over a thousand individual components, nuts, bolts and icons, each symbolising a chapter in his life. The emblem of a ‘Hero’ badge nods to his beloved motorbike; the date of birth, the sacred “Aum”, the golf club and ball reflect his passions; etched names “Papa” and “Nana-ji” acknowledge the family roots; every element is assembled with precision to hold story as much as structure.
In the workshop, fragments of steel and iconography were welded and polished until form and emotion converged. The golden hue of the finish echoes legacy, while the always-present sheen of metal evokes resilience and action. This is not simply a sculpture, it is a bespoke tribute, an artwork that embodies gratitude and devotion. It honours a father, celebrates his life’s pursuits, and immortalises a daughter’s love.
When the spotlight falls on Looking For a Hero, the journey of creation, its sparks, its hours, its thousand-piece architecture, stands fully realised. If the making was a testament to purpose and passion, the unveiling is the moment when art becomes a story.
